An eye-catching cacti ornament is a great talking piece, juxtaposing nature and technology. Useful for jewellery display or simply to add to a bookshelf or table. The configuration of circuit board differs in each piece, making each unique.
Designed by GSA Product Design Engineering student Penny Morton.
"Exposing the hidden engineering behind the technology of our everyday lives. I sourced circuit boards from an electrical recycling centre in Glasgow. My aim was to take the once functional and hidden components and celebrate their aesthetic. Clear resin protects, enhances and illuminates the intricate details and unique properties of each board. Cacti is designed to question our society's current relationship with both technology and nature."
